A subset of the NationalMap dataset consisting of a combination of vegetation layers extracted from the LINZ web portal.
The combined vegetation layers consists of:
- Exotic: Land covered by trees not native to New Zealand. - Mangrove: Coastal or brackish or saline area covered by specially adapted trees. - Native forest: Land covered by trees native to New Zealand. - Orchard: Land covered by pip or stone fruit or vegetation. - Scrub: Land covered by vegetation less than 3 m high.-Vineyards: Land covered by vines e.g. grapes, kiwifruit etc.
These layers are a component of the Topo50 map series. The Topo50 map series provides topographic mapping for the New Zealand mainland, Chatham and New Zealand's offshore islands, at 1:50,000 scale. Further information on Topo50: http://www.linz.govt.nz/topography/topo-maps/topo50
